Use Tracking with Expressions
Expressions and tracking data go together like peanutbutter and chocolate. You don’t even have to apply raw
tracking data in order to put it to use; you can pickwhip
any property containing X and Y position data directly to
other properties.
For example, to track in a paint clone operation in a
single layer
1. Set up a track with the paint target as the feature center
(the center of the Feature Region).
2. Move the attach point to the area from which you wish
to clone.
3. Track motion; you can set Track Type to Raw or simply
don’t apply it.
4. Add a clone stroke with appropriate settings.
5. Pickwhip Stroke Options > Clone Position to the Attach
Point and Transform: Clone 1 > Position to the Feature
Center.
This works equally well applied to another layer
