Pointless Viewpoint

Pointless
Viewpoint

The one who takes the cake for
having the most bizarre point of
view this week has to be the Union
Minister for Steel, Beni Prasad
Verma. When asked about the increasing
prices of essential commodies,
the minister said the
government was making efforts to
resolve the issue. He should have
stopped there. But, no – Verma
added that he was personally glad
about the issue because he
thought farmer benefitted
from the rising prices of essential
food items such as
pulses, vegetables and
flour. “The more that
prices rise, the better it
is for farmers," he
pointed out. This man also
previously held the posts of
Union Communications Minister
and PWD Minister for
Uttar Pradesh. God save
the nation!
