Kerala Congress (M) [KC(M)] general secretary Joy
Abraham, MP, has said that the party considers Wednesday’s incident only
as a ‘dropping out of a few leaders and not as a split.’
In
what appears to be an effort to reduce the impact of the dent suffered
by the walking out of three senior leaders — Francis George, K.C. Joseph
and Antony Raju — from the party, Mr. Abraham said it was prompted only
by hunger for power. “They enjoyed all the benefits of power during the
past five years. Now they have other plans,” he said.
“If
they want to leave the party they can, but to make allegations at this
point, after defending the same allegations all these months, is not
proper,” he said.
